The 5150 Clan

We are a Gaming clan that started with the original Call of Duty (vCOD). The Creators, Acidburn (aka Oldman), SixxFoxx, and CrazyEyesKilla have played COD together for years. We formed our clan for a great place to play together. We invited great people to game with us in different versions of the game.

In time we decided to developed our first forums and home page in May 2005. This was a small forum for the three of us to post regularly to each other. We recruited our first members in May 2005. These recruits were some of our closest friends that we met while being apart of different clans in vCOD 1.3.

It was now time for a server. Due to the lack of servers in vCOD version 1.3 (aka COD 1) this was extremely needed. The first 5150 server was developed in February 2006. 5150 had a server to game S&D with friends. It quickly became the favorite server for gamers and we were one of the most popular clans.

5150 grew quickly. While attracting recruits the clan quickly outgrew COD1 and the time came to move onto COD2. COD2 had plenty of servers to offer but still 5150 managed again to maintain a popular server status with the CTF crowd. Having a steady flow of people enabled the clan to invite other clans to visit for a night of gaming. Many new faces requested to join the clan. 5150 started an official recruiting officers section to handle the number of requests to join and with that many new friendships developed.

In the midst of what appeared to be a population war amongst clans 5150 did not change rules or jump on the bandwagon. We stuck to our rules that reflect our values. Those values set fourth a respectable, safe, and fun gaming atmosphere for anyone to participate in. We valued this environment and it soon became 5150's trademark. Most other gamers respected this but some liked to challenge the clan members and admins in game. With the population reaching thousands of new faces monthly a new strategy was needed. We gained our lead admin Charles Manson to help us maintain and grow further. Proper management was in place to meet the needs of 5150. 5150 had time to try new things. 5150 saw an opportunity to allow the skilled players a chance to show off their talent by opening two TWL teams. TWL was not the right fit for 5150. 5150 is not about skill or point…5150 is about you just being you & having a great time doing just that. 5150 disbanded their two TWL teams trading in their TWL server for a S&D server. With that we opened our second server in COD2 for Search & Destroy to satisfy the requests of clan members.

With plans still to expand further we waited for the COD4 release. The members of 5150 quickly left COD2 for the COD4 experience. Pleased with COD4 5150 put up a server in HQ (Headquarters). 5150 could not decide on game type they went for the gusto and added 2 servers with different game types. We vary between HQ & TDM (Team Death Match) but still maintain a S&D server (that is now Hardcore).

To this day we still have just as much fun gaming together as we did in the early years. Were adding yet even more friends to our already huge list of friends that we play with. We've even considered adding on other games to our repertoire.

We planned to expand our horizons. We have gained many great clan members in COD1. As clan members we became very close understanding a mutual camaraderie and love for gaming. The move to COD2 was made at the right time and at the clans request. We shut down our server in COD1 and reopened it with in minutes to COD2 version 1.3 (that points most current version). During our move we had great help from our friends at Tracc Playground and TR Tombraiders. Thanks to their knowledge & their help a new server was born. We are quickly becoming as popular in COD4 as we were in COD2 & COD1. The journey we have had so far is amazing. We have added new members who quickly became friends, we have departed with members but maintain a close connection, and we cannot wait to see what else there can be greater than what we share today.

The members of the 5150 clan have became so close we now reference to ourselves as "family".
